Welcome to Sarah Bailey Photography. Please feel free to have a good look around my website at all the beautiful babies and children that are on here, only a small proportion of them that I have had the pleasure of photographing.
My name is Sarah Bailey and I have been very fortunate to be a photographer for what seems like all of my life!!!! I was one of the lucky ones at school as i knew then what I wanted to be. This was much to my teachers and parents' astonishment when i told them i wanted to be a photographer as they really didnt know what to do with me. Along with my A levels I stayed on at school to do a City & Guilds in Photography followed by a BTEC at college and then onto University to do a HND in Media & Photography. I can truly say it is all I have ever wanted to do and has never dissapointed! I have worked my way up as an assistant (doing all the hard work!) learning the trade after Uni. I had the pleasure to work on many wonderful jobs in wonderful places like Hong Kong, Miami, Jamaica not to mention most of Europe. My work used to be very commercial but when i had my first child I soon realised that going away on location for weeks on end, often leaving on short notice or working in London at the crack of dawn until past bedtime was not going to work if i was ever blessed to have another child. As most of you will now appreciate once you have your children your life changes in many wonderful ways and adapting your life is one of them. I wanted to work as well as be the best mother i could so i decided to start setting up Sarah Bailey Photography alongside commercial projects. I loved this aspect of my work and meeting wonderful people with their bundles of joy was more rewarding than I had ever believed so after having my second child I decided to specialise in Baby and Children Photography. The pleasure in peoples faces when they see beautiful photos of their children still tugs at my heart strings every time and makes me feel so proud because lets face it there really is nothing more precious than those moments in time that a camera captures because as a mother I now know how quickly these times go by.
A photo that transforms our minds back to special times really does become a treasure to hold onto forever.
"the format of my shoot"
I am flexible with the venue, i can come to your house or i am more than happy for you to come to me. alternatively, i can suggest locations or even a special place chosen by you.
The shoot will last approximately 1-2 hours, this will depend on each individual child. feed and sleep times are always taken into consideration as i am fully aware no two children are ever alike.
When the child is happy i will be ready to start.
It is my ultimate aim to capture the child’s individuality and character and when i feel this has been achieved the shoot will finish.
